Recent comment from a Host Family in Excellence Nomination

"I’m Antonella from Argentina and I’ve been living with the Kramer family since August 2013.

Living away from home and no longer in our comfort zone is a great experience that will help you a lot and will open your mind but is not easy. It’s a whole new world. Host family support is fundamental and necessary to get through all the changes.

What I truly love about my Host Family is that they were always there to help me in this transition. We all enjoyed and laughed to the good moments and in bad times I always had an ear to hear me. I have never felt alone and I can honestly say that I felt as a part of the family since the beginning.

Goals are different for everyone. Mine was to travel and know as much as I can about culture in the US. During this year I was able to know eight states and my host family helped me telling what to do and what to expect from each city. That was really helpful and I’m really thankful to them for the support to do it."
