The areas I serve in Oregon
Go Au Pair has a Local Area Representative supporting the Portland metropolitan area, encompassing portions of Oregon and SW Washington. Situated near the confluence of the Willamette and Columbia rivers, roughly 65 miles inland from the Pacific Ocean, the area is known for its diverse culture, natural beauty and unique character.
A little bit about me: I’m an Oregon native, currently living in Portland, Oregon, but have lived in various parts of the Pacific NW throughout my life including Milwaukie, Sellwood, Colton & Oregon City. I’m a working mother with 2 teenage boys, 2 dogs and 2 cats. I’ve been in human resources and corporate recruiting or many years and was a previous in-home daycare owner while my boys were young. I also regularly volunteered at my boys’ schools and continue to do so as often as I can.
I currently support the hiring for Child Development & Family Service (CDFS) Head Start and Early Head Start and the Child Care Resource & Referral agency that offers in home daycare providers education and training at local community college and I love having the opportunity to do work that supports families and our precious children in any way that I can.
I have a great love of learning about different cultures and people and regularly host international cuisine potlucks with friends and family. The opportunity to work for Go Au Pair is an exciting opportunity for me to expand on my growing passion for childcare support with a cultural education component.
The Portland Metro Cluster includes Au Pairs from Ecuador, Mexico, Peru, China, Uganda & Columbia. These amazing Au Pairs support busy families with school age children and brand-new babies. The Host Family parents are business owners, healthcare workers, corporate executives and marketing & sales professionals with diverse backgrounds.
Our families and Au Pairs often enjoy outdoor activities, sharing meals and seeing the sites of the beautiful Pacific Northwest.
