My favorite thing about being a LAR
I have always loved my job as a Local Area Representative. I feel it is a unique fit that combines my love of children, different cultures, and helping others. I also feel like I have a good insight into both roles of Host Families and Au Pairs, because I was a nanny/au pair throughout college and then we had a nanny when our children were young. I really enjoy being able to offer local support to my cluster along with providing social/cultural events.
Why I love my job
My cluster is expanding throughout Northern Houston, including (but not limited to) Katy, Cypress, The Woodlands, Spring, Conroe, and Humble. We are always looking for and recruiting new families and are offering a wonderful discount to any new Host Families in the Houston Areas.
My name is Julie and I am lucky to be the Northern Houston Local Area Representative for GoAupair. I have been with GoAupair for the past 6+ years and have enjoyed every minute. I began as a LAR in Omaha, NE and moved to Northern Houston in August of 211 where I have continued my role as a LAR for Northern Houston. I have been married to my best friend, Nathan, for 13 years and we have two daughters entering 6th and 4th grade. I graduated college from the University of Nebraska (Go Huskers!) with a degree in Human Resources and Family Science and then completed my hours for a certificate in crisis counseling. My hobbies include reading, anything having to do with water (swimming, boating, etc…), working out and traveling.
