The areas I serve in Tampa

I provide services in the Tampa Bay Metropolitan Area and the wider West-Central Florida region, spanning from Crystal River to Sarasota and reaching inland to Lakeland.

I’m an outgoing former New Yorker who loves to travel the world and has a college degree in Cultural Anthropology. Having moved to Florida five years ago, I can easily relate to the experience of adapting to a new community.  This program is the perfect way to use my skills to serve as a cultural mentor and mediator. I love helping people share their unique cultures.

Our Host Families are diverse, accomplished, and globally minded. They include all family sizes, from a single child up to five children, giving our au pairs valuable, real-world childcare experience.

Our Au Pairs are equally impressive. Many choose to stay for a second year, showing how successful the program is here. Hailing from places like Africa, South America, and China, they introduce unique cultures, languages, and traditions, bringing a genuine global experience right into the host family’s home.

Au Pair Cultural Activities

Au Pairs are required to attend a number of Cultural Activities with their Local Area Representative and nearby Au Pairs to make sure they experience the local community and culture during their stay. Below are some of the activities January’s cluster has been up to recently!

Florida Highway Safety and Motor Vehicles

Driving in Florida with a foreign license is permitted for non-residents, but once you establish residency you must obtain a Florida driver’s license within 30 days. Testing: Applicants must pass a vision test and a written knowledge exam on Florida traffic laws. Depending on your home country’s license, you may also be required to pass a driving skills test and complete a Traffic Law and Substance Abuse Education (TLSAE) course. Documentation: You must provide proof of Primary Identification (e.g., valid Passport, immigration documents like I-94 and I-20/DS-2019), Social Security Number (or a Letter of Ineligibility from the SSA), and Two Proofs of Florida Residential Address (e.g., utility bills, lease, bank statements). The best approach for obtaining a Florida Class E license is to gather all required documents and make an appointment with the Florida Highway Safety and Motor Vehicles (FLHSMV) as soon as you meet the residency definition.
