Gabee Deleo
The areas I serve in Washington
I cover the Greater Seattle area; basically anything 60 miles North of Tacoma and East of the Puget Sound inlet. This includes areas near Kent, Renton, Bellevue, Seattle, and up to Everett.
My name is Gabee and I have been the Seattle Local Area Representative (LAR) since July 2025. Previously I worked as an ADHD Health and Wellness Coach and still hold a National Board Certification for Health and Wellness Coaching. I moved to the West Side of Washington from Spokane in the Summer of 2023 though I grew up in Troy, Montana. I love being by the coast and exploring nature with my 2 dogs!
I love the Au Pair program because it allows me to connect with people from all walks of life and learn about different cultures. The flexibility and independence of the LAR role make it easy to truly enjoy these connections—without it ever feeling like work!
The families in this cluster work in a variety of professional fields including healthcare, technology, education, real estate, law, and business. The Picnic Potluck at Gas Works Park was a relaxed and joyful way for Au Pairs to connect. Each person brought a dish or drink to share, creating a colorful spread of international flavors. We laid out blankets on the grassy hill overlooking Lake Union, sat in a circle, and spent the afternoon playing card games, chatting, and enjoying the iconic Seattle skyline. The open space and scenic views made it a perfect spot for bonding and unwinding together.

Taking the Au Pairs to the Pumpkin Farm and Puzzle Patch in Woodinville was a festive and fun fall outing. The farm features a pumpkin patch, a large corn maze, and a variety of outdoor games like cornhole. It was a perfect mix of seasonal charm, outdoor activity, and bonding time with au pairs.

In Washington State, international visitors can drive with a valid foreign license for up to one year, ideally accompanied by an International Driving Permit (IDP) if the license is not in English. Once residency is established, individuals must apply for a Washington driver’s license by providing proof of identity, legal presence, and state residency, and by passing vision, knowledge, and driving tests unless exempt. Some countries have reciprocal agreements that waive testing requirements. The best approach is to begin the application process early, gather all required documents, and schedule tests through the Department of Licensing or approved centers. This ensures a smooth transition to legal driving in Washington..
