My favorite thing about being a LAR

Being a LAR has given me the opportunity to meet different people of all different walks of life from different backgrounds. Being a people person, it allows me to interact with families who are looking to be a positive example of our American culture.

Why I love my job

Working in partnership with Go Au Pair, I act as a liason for the agency and host families who have made the choice to enter the aupair program. Making contact with the host families and aupair monthly, I am the eyes and ears for Go Au Pair. I consider myself as the eyes and ears for the host parents and aupairs as well, guiding them through their aupair/host family experience while here in California. It is my goal to have a personal relationship with both the aupairs and host parents in my cluster so that we can feel comfortable working together and communicating any challenges that may arise.

About me

My name is Deniese Garner and I am the Local Area Representative for the San Francisco East bay area. I have been working with Go Au Pair for twelve years and love what I do. Currently living in the East Bay Area, I am a music teacher during the week. I teach vocal music at a local elementary school in Walnut Creek, Ca.
