Erin Mortensen

Erin Local Area Rep Go Au Pair

About me

My name is Erin Mortensen and I have been with Go Au Pair, since 27. I hold a Bachelors in Science for Physical Education, from Utah State University. I live in Lehi, Utah, with my husband, of 11 years and our three cute little boys. The most important and precious thing in my life is my little family. I also enjoy reading, traveling and doing any outdoors activity.

My favorite thing about being a LAR

I love the Au Pair program! I enjoy working with all the Host Families and Au Pairs, helping to create a wonderful experience for them throughout their year! I’ve seen what a big impact the program has on the Host Parents, children and Au Pairs and I love being a part of that!

We have a great group here in Utah! Here is an Au Pair in Excellence nomination from one of my Host Families here in Utah this year. Our Host Families get the chance to nominate their Au Pairs for this award, if they choose, to show what an impact the Au Pairs have had on their family and why she deserves an award. This family loves their Au Pair and the program!

I have been with Go Au Pair since 2002 and have been a LAR since 2008.

My favorite thing about being a LAR

As a LAR, I love sharing our culture with the au pairs and getting to know about their customs and cultures, I like to interact with the host parents and watch as they experience so much growth and learn to love and appreciate other cultures and traditions. I hope to someday travel to experience those various cultures myself, and I look forward to many more years of interacting and learning from both host families and au pairs.

Why I love my job

I have a passion for spending time with my family, and I love to go to the lake with them. I get great satisfaction from cooking for others and inviting them into our home. In my spare time, I like to read and I spend time helping out at my kids’ schools. I also enjoy learning languages.
