My name is Katy, and I’m a Local Area Representative at Go Au Pair in Reno, NV. I graduated from the University of Nevada, Reno in 2015 and have been enjoying a career working with individual with disabilities ever since! I am a currently certified Developmental Specialist II. Aside from my position with Go Au Pair, I work at the Down Syndrome Network of Northern Nevada as the Family Service Coordinator. I jumped on the opportunity to become an LAR because I love working with the entire family unit. I enjoy the privilege of working with families and assisting them through transitions and new adventures! I have been a LAR since January, 2019.
My favorite thing about being a LAR
As a LAR, I like to make myself readily available to my families and Au Pairs, so they know they can contact me with anything. My ultimate goal is to provide a stable and comfortable experience for the cluster here in Reno.
Why I love my job
Territory Geo Description
The majority of the Au Pairs in this cluster reside in Washoe County, specifically Reno/Sparks. They are a very friendly, fun group of individuals. There are currently four (soon to be five) from So. Africa and one from Columbia. This is a relatively new group, but they seem to have bonded and do things on their own, as well as in a group.
