Joan Lowell (North East Team Lead & Rhode Island LAR)
My name is Joan Lowell, and I’m a Local Area Representative at Go Au Pair in Providence, Rhode Island. I have over two decades experience in education and working with children and families. I have been a LAR since 2012.
My favorite thing about being a LAR
As a LAR, I love helping families have successful cultural childcare experiences. I like to show off my beautiful home state of Rhode Island. I hope to grow our cluster, and I look forward to meeting new families and Au Pairs.
Why I love my job
I have a passion for children, and I love to help families meet their childcare needs through the Au Pair Program. I get great satisfaction from seeing lifelong relationships develop under my support. In my spare time, I like writing, drawing and I spend time gardening. I also enjoy spending time relaxing on the front porch. I am thankful for my husband and six great kids of my own!
