I had a wonderful experience as an Au Pair with Go Au Pair. I was very lucky to match with a great host family, and thanks to them and the program I was able to travel to many of my dream cities and places in the U.S. This year gave me the chance to grow, explore, and enjoy cultural exchange to the fullest.

One piece of advice I’d share with future Au Pairs is to make sure you ask all the questions you need before matching, so you can really get to know your host family. Keeping honest and open communication is key for succeeding in this program.

Having an Au Pair has been an amazing experience. We chose Go Au Pair because they were the only agency that we found in our area allowing us to search Au Pairs before paying a fee. We were hesitant because of the difficult child care arrangements we had in the past, so the no fee search was huge for us. Once we started researching more, we knew we would be bringing an Au Pair into our home. We chose to stick with Go Au Pair because they were approachable and easy to get in contact with. There were other agencies for our area, but none as responsive as Go Au Pair.

The entire process is long and strenuous and we had many questions. All of our questions were met with answers. I will say, because of the vast areas that Go Au Pair works with and the number of people working with our placement, at times the process felt disjointed, which is the reason for 4 stars instead of 5. I have no idea how other agencies function in this area, but I would imagine it is similar.

Overall we have had an amazing experience with this agency and are not considering changing agencies at all. I would highly recommend using Go Au Pair to search Au Pairs if you are uncertain of the switch in childcare models and then if an Au Pair is right for your family, book through them!
