My favorite thing about being a LAR
As a LAR, I love connecting with host families and Au pairs by helping them bridge cultural gaps and helping them to build strong relationships by productively working through conflicts. I like to get together with the Au pairs at our cultural gatherings. I hope to _connect the Au pairs together and form life-long friendships, and I look forward to getting all the host families in our cluster together a couple of times a year to connect.
Why I love my job
I have a passion for spending time with my friends and family, and I love to meet new people. I get great satisfaction from _seeing joy in my children. In my spare time, I like to try new restaurants and doing new things with my husband. I also enjoy going to local sporting events like baseball games or watching my Alma Mater during college football season. I am most thankful for my family!
My name is Rebecca McFarland, and I’m a Local Area Representative at Go Au Pair in Dallas/Fort Worth area_. I have over 10 years of experience teaching in the elementary setting and as a foster parent. I became a LAR because I stay home with my three young children and this job allows me to utilize my experiences of education and working with people while I can still be a “stay-at-home-mom.” I have been a LAR since the beginning of 2018
