About My Life

My name is Lindsey Garbenis, and I’m a Local Area Representative at Go Au Pair in Cincinnati, Ohio. I have 15 years of experience working with international students, exchange students and Au Pairs. I love engaging with people from around the world and helping to be a part of their journey. I have been a LAR since 2018.

Favorite thing about being a LAR

As a LAR, I love meeting new people from around the world and learning about their culture and journeys. I like to meet with the Au Pairs and show them about American culture and activities in our area. I also love learning about were they have come from and their goals. I hope to create an environment where Au Pairs feel comfortable with their families, make new friends and establish new life skills, and I look forward to _all the amazing families, kids and Au Pairs I get to meet!

Why I love my job

I have a passion for culture, and I love to meet new people. I get great satisfaction from watching people learn and grow. In my spare time, I like spend time with my family and kids. We love playing outside, swimming, arts and crafts, movies and traveling. I also enjoy animals, gardening, traveling, house projects and making people smile. I am thankful for my family, sunshine, flowers and opportunities.
