Working Mommy Blogger Intro
I saw the look. I knew it was coming, but before I could clear out of range, the yogurt was airborne. I was caked from shoulder to hip with the pink goo. My tiny two-year-old boy laughed while he watched me bend down, reaching around my growing baby belly, to wipe up the remnants of Yoplait that had missed my shirt and had landed on my newly mopped floor. A scenario repeated a handful of times daily in slightly different versions.

Welcome to my home. I’m the new “working mommy blogger” for Go Au Pair. I’ve been writing in blogs, newspapers, magazines and so on for more than 10 years now. Throughout my twenties I paid my way through school with part-time jobs in daycare, afterschool programs and substitute teaching. Currently, I’m working in the Public Relations field and all the while raising a toddler and waddling around with another baby boy in route. I can’t wait to share more with you about the life balance I have with my career and the mini me’s, who fill our home with delight…and yogurt.
Update (09/17/12):

That moment when the nurse tells you that you are good to take home your baby, and you and your husband walk out of the hospital with a newborn in your car seat.

That moment when baby meets his big brother for the first time, and lays on the toddler’s lap while being smothered with sloppy two-year-old kisses.

That moment in the middle of the night when your infant is crying out and you pick him up and pull him in close; and suddenly the yelping stops and he turns into you in total trust.

That moment when you see your husband holding your two sons, and he tears up at the sight of them together.

That moment when you hold your new baby, and nothing else in the world matters.

I’ve had some great moments lately. Welcome to our home James!
