Living in France as an Au Pair provides you with a unique insight to French life. While you help the children with their English skills, you also spend time perfecting your French, which is an important language around the globe. In fact, it is only second to English in use between nations for communications. While in France, you can take advantage of the many sites, museums and culture from the cities to the country.
Au Pairs going to France must meet the following requirements:
As an Au Pair in France, you are responsible for providing up to 30 hours of child care. Child care responsibilities can include activities such as meal preparation, baths, naps, general supervision, helping with homework and driving the children to school and activities.
As an Au Pair, you help around the house through light housekeeping. Examples of light housekeeping include laundry, tidying up rooms, making beds, vacuuming and caring for pets. Au Pairs are not responsible for heavy housework or the overall care of the home.
You are also required to complete a French language course during your placement in France.
