Want to be an Au Pair?

Cultural Differences: South Africa

Au Pairs, Chantelle Huyser, Jessica Clayton and Geralene Govender, share their experience in their New Jersey cluster. They have noticed many differences in names we use for common items. In this video, they talk about these words and different situations that they had been in where they were confronted with this difference.

The girls also talk about people, family, children and school. They felt that as an Au Pair, they could teach American children the importance of manners. When they return home, they hope that they are able to grow as a person and from this experience...and maybe even develope a bit of an American accent!
