Why an Au Pair Agency?

The U.S. Department of State oversees the Au Pair program and has designated 13 Au Pair agencies as Au Pair visa sponsors. Without designation from the U.S. Department of State, no one can legally bring you into the U.S. as an Au Pair. Go Au Pair is one of the original Au Pair agencies designated in 1989 and has brought Au Pair Child Care to thousands of families for more than 20 years. Go Au Pair is the right choice for your Au Pair agency because we take care of all the Host Family screening, training and helping you understand your duties and responsibilities.

Host Family Screening

Your safety and security is our greatest concern. We carefully screen and require substantial amounts of information from our Host Families to ensure you place with a great Host Family who welcomes you to their home as another member of their family.

You have the chance to review your Host Family’s application and read additional material about the state in which you will live. You also receive a detailed instruction book that contains information about life in the United States, family life, good communications skills and safety tips.

Your Au Pair Training

As an Au Pair with Go Au Pair, you receive 32 hours of child care training. The training topics include child development, child safety and a special infant-specific section.

In addition to our pre-arrival training, Go Au Pair offers an optional three-day Au Pair Introductory Workshop in New York. You and your Host Family mutually decide if you will attend this workshop.

Local and Corporate Support

As an Au Pair agency, Go Au Pair is available to provide year-round support to you and your Host Family. We want to make sure your experience with the Au Pair program is unforgettable.

During your time with your Host Family, you also have access to your Local Area Representative. You can enjoy the benefits of local support through your Local Area Representative who lives within a one-hour drive of your Host Family’s home.

We take care of all the paperwork

Your mind can rest easy knowing that Go Au Pair handles the majority of, if not all of the paper work and administrative duties for your flights, visas, insurance and more.
